Marble is a thick metamorphic rock formed with limestone re-crystallization. It is softer than granite and therefore easier to process, which was already considered by the stonemasons in antiquity. Because it can be processed very easily, it can be found in all branches of the building industry. Marble products polished to a high shine give a wonderful appearance, but the shine is only preserved by products which are not subject to stress and weathering. Products for outdoor use are usually already processed without a gloss.
